Huh.

What random ass things can I post about just to have a post dated in July?

At work, what with the end of the fiscal year, we've been trying to spend any extra budget money we've got. Ahh, bureaucracy... if you don't spend all your money for a year, there are two things that will happen:

1. The money does not roll over into next year's budget.
2. Since you didn't spend the money this year, it's assumed that clearly that means you didn't need it, and hence, won't be needing it for the next year, so your budget is cut.

What's great about this (and stressful) is that it means I get to spend spend spend on things we want and need at work, but haven't been able to justify placing ahead of just normal operating expenses. We now have:

1. a MIDI keyboard
2. a shotgun mic for one of the video cameras
3. two more video cameras for people to check out from us
4. two external hard drives
5. a new cart for the projector to sit on
6. CD-R's, DVD-R's, CD-RW's, DVD-RW's

What with all the boxes to open, I feel as if it's Christmas in July.
